Don't Stop Believing

I can say that I legitimately love that song. I always liked to hear it. And then The Sopranos made it popular and I heard it all the time. Then liking it got me into a little predicament. Then Glee covered it (twice!).
Working hard to get my fill / everybody wants a thrill / paying anything to roll the dice just one more time / some will win some will lose some were born to sing the blues / Oh the movie never ends it just goes on and on and on and on

These lines are my favourite, I think. It is just a genius song.

I don't know what I have to say. That F. Scott quote has been on my mind. I realized how much I hate the local paper the other day when they printed a high schooler's essay on texting. I mean, Who Cares. That is completely writing because you WANT to say something. It's interesting how the art is always in charge. If you make it because it needs to be shared, it goes well--or, at least, you can have pride in your conviction. But when you say, I want to say something and actually write that because it's a vehicle for attention...it's just wrong.

I listened to some Pat Monahan for the first time in awhile. I still like his Last of Seven work. It would be great if Train would put out another live CD with some of his songs that they didn't want on their albums previously.

So you think you can stone me and spit in my eye? So you think you can love me
and leave me to die?

Love those lines. Though the whole song is still over my head as far as it's epicness is concerned.

I need to find better writing music than Glee. I used to turn on the radio and having the country station going, but that's completely obnoxious now. Savage Garden is a possibility. Or the Beatles, though I can't read with them playing. Hmm.

I've been tired lately. I wish I could just go back to normal--getting by on 5 hours of sleep, getting up at 5. But that's too much time to sit around and think. I don't know when, but I reached a point where I couldn't take listening to myself for hours on end anymore. All the good ideas were exhausted I guess. Maybe I'll get some new perspectives at school.
That's so depressing to me. How can I think I reached the end of the list of things to think about and ponder and question. It's crazy. I am no where near smart enough nor qualified to have an opinion on the majority of things that happen in the world.
And, how much time have a I spent by myself reaching that conclusion? A lot. What a waste of time. My thoughts make only me feel better, not anyone else. So selfish. Argh.

Done whining. Maybe just getting this off my chest will help me get back into the swing of things.
